We love talking about everything ice hockey on social media, too — let us know your views on hockey news, equipment or anything else in the sport! The Willies staff are super passionate about ice hockey, with most of us being players ourselves. We understand how important the fit and feel of your gear are, and we do everything possible to give you the best prices on accessories from top manufacturers like Bauer, CCM and A&R.
Ice hockey pants are designed to give players a completely unrestricted range of motion, including around the waist and hips, and your suspenders are used to keep your pants secure without compromising your movement. If you find that wearing a belt restricts you while you’re out on the ice, give these Bauer suspenders a try.
Garter belts are used by players to keep their socks up throughout their game. Simply secure your garter belt around your waist, and clip the top of your socks onto the belt attachments.
There’s nothing more uncomfortable than a shin guard that, no matter what you do, refuses to stay in place. Luckily there are a few things that you can try!
Many players have tried shin guard tape at some point to keep their wandering shin guards in place. After putting on your shin guards and socks, tape over your socks and below the knee, and right above the bottom of the shin guard if you feel like you need it.
If you need something a little more heavy-duty, shin guard straps work like tape to keep your shin guards secure. Shin guard sleeves are another option, using compression to firmly hold your shin guard in place more effectively than straps or tape. Simply pull them over your shin guards, pull up your socks, and throw the tape away.
Order your suspenders, garters and straps online, or visit our store at Willies Coventry to pick up all the bits you need to keep your gear in place.
