As the name suggests, off-ice figure skates are figure skates… that you can use off the ice!

They use a traditional figure skating boot from your favourite brand, so you can get that familiar feel of an ice skate no matter where you practice.

They’re slightly different from inline skates as the Snow White Artistic Chassis uses a ground-breaking three-wheel rockered design, making them extremely lightweight and manoeuvrable so that you can easily make those tight turns and artistic elements.

The support and flexibility offered by the Graf 500 off-ice figure skates are perfect for beginners, as they help to support your knee bends while you learn the fundamentals.

Ice skate fitting is a bit of an imperfect science, as everyone’s foot and skate preference is unique. Different skate manufacturers will have slightly different fit profiles, so it’s worth popping into our store at Willies in Coventry to try on a range of skates. 

A general guideline is that adult skaters should wear one size down from their regular shoe size to get a comfortable fit in their skates. Once laced up, your toes should almost reach the end of the boot, your heel should feel locked in place, and your ankles should feel supported without too much pressure.

For junior skaters, we typically recommend skates the same as their shoe size to leave a little growing room, but it’s better to have a pair of comfortable ice skates for a shorter time rather than stumbling around in ill-fitting skates.
