  • WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR TO KEEP WARM WHILE ICE SKATING?

    If it’s your first-time ice skating for fun or you’re going to your first figure skating practice, it can be hard to know what to wear to keep warm without getting too hot!

     

    It’s best to wear thick leggings or trousers that don’t restrict your movement — these will keep your legs warm and protect you from scrapes and ice burn when you fall over. Figure skaters can also go for tights that are thicker than ordinary pantyhose and are a required outfit component for competitive figure skating.

     

    Opting for a lightweight jacket or hoodie is an excellent option for both figure skaters and recreational ice skaters. Although ice rinks are pretty cold, ice skating is a great cardio workout, so you don’t want anything that’s too insulating or bulky.
